Convective cloud with embedded thunderstorms is throughout central Australia, the Top End and Queensland. A trough over the east of the country is producing a thick cloud with embedded thunderstorms over northeastern New South Wales. Speckled low level cloud is visible over much of the southern coast and Tasmania as a high directs a cooler airmass inshore. Some low to mid level cloud is also present in the southwest of Western Australia as a trough moves into the area. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
