Convective activity, including embedded thunderstorms, is present over extensive inland parts of the continent. This activity extends through to southeastern Australia, associated with a broad region of lower pressure and a trough moving into the Tasman Sea. A second cold front has passed over Tasmania, bringing speckly low- to mid-level cloud over the state. A high pressure system off the southwest coast of Western Australia is pushing low to mid-level cloud onto the South Australia coast. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
