Tropical moisture is being dragged south and southeastward from a deep low over Central Australia, bringing thick cloud over much of Australia's mainland. A trough extends from the low towards the southeast of South Australia, bringing further thick cloud to the area. Extensive convective cloud and thunderstorm activity is visible across the tropical north. A trough located along the west coast of Western Australia is bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms with mid to low level cloud. Low level cloud is crossing the southern seaboard due to a high pressure system in the Bight. A trough located just off the coast of southern Queensland, is enhancing low to mid level cloud over southeastern Queensland. A weakening trough moving up the New South Wales coast is enhancing shower and thunderstorms activity along the central coastal parts with low to mid level cloud along the trough. Onshore flow in the wake of the trough is generating low cloud along the New South Wales southcoast. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
