Scattered showers and thunderstorms in northern Queensland north of Urandangi to Ayr, with showers tending widespread at times about Far North Queensland. Localised heavy falls possible with thunderstorms about the base of Cape York Peninsula. Scattered showers developing in southeastern Queensland, tending widespread near the coast later in the day. Mostly sunny in southwest and Central Queensland. Isolated showers elsewhere. Possible morning fog about eastern Queensland between Proserpine and the Sunshine Coast. Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds, turning east to northeasterly about the northwest of the state and Torres Strait. Maximum temperatures above average about the southern interior and the southeast, below average about the northwest, near average elsewhere.
