Light to moderate northeast to southeasterly winds, tending fresh at times about the east coast between Cooktown and Hervey Bay. Winds tending fresh northwesterly over the Torres Strait and northern Peninsula. Maximum temperatures below average in the far west and western Peninsula, above average in the southern interior east of Charleville, near average elsewhere.
